DONATING TO MATTHEWS PLAYHOUSE
“…You need three things in the theatre — the play, the actors and the audience, and each must give something...”
At Matthews Playhouse, the talent and passion of our community is amplified both by the educational programming that we provide for children and teens AND through the hands on, collaborative theatrical process that distinguishes our Mainstage season each year. Twenty-five years of stories told on stage, twenty-five years of community involvement…AND twenty-five years where individuals and families alike have come together to share experiences that entertain, inspire and encourage bonds of friendship and community. When you make a donation to Matthews Playhouse, you create opportunities to touch people in appreciable ways because your donation helps bring STORIES to life….STORIES that are seen, heard, felt and experienced with performances that can bring tears to your eyes, with music that can make your heart soar and with costumes, lighting, and sets that can transport you to other times and places! It is ALL available at Matthews Playhouse of the Performing Arts. Your gift to Matthews Playhouse builds the sets, costumes the actors, engages the musicians, technical artists, directors, AND welcomes the audience! In choosing to support Matthews Playhouse, you give voice to the STORIES that need to be told and you strengthen the bonds of community in Matthews and its environs!
Donors give to the Playhouse on an annual basis, and there are different levels of giving from $50 to $2,500+. All patrons are listed in our mainstage show playbills, and receive a special invitation to our patron events. Additional benefits are given for higher tier levels of support, including complimentary tickets to a show of your choice. Patrons may be individuals, families, groups, or companies.
