CLUE "Pay-What-You-Can" Performance on April 19th to Benefit The Levine Senior Center in Matthews

Updated: Mar 29, 2023

A portion of proceeds from the "Pay-What-You-Can" performance of CLUE on Wednesday, April 19th at 7:30 p.m. will be donated to The Levine Senior Center, our Non-Profit Partner for the production.

We have a saying at Matthews Playhouse you've probably heard us say many times: We Are Better Together! This means that each of us is in a position to do good when we work together. We rely on community support in order to deliver the quality of arts programming that we're so proud of. We also believe it is our responsibility to "pay it forward" to other local non-profits that also relies on the support from the community so we make it a practice to partner with another local non-profit organization for each production we produce on our stage.

This season, we've had the honor of partnering with numerous non-profits like

Bright Blessings - our non-profit partner for School of Theatre Productions in March 2023

Charlotte Freedom School Partners. - our non-profit partner for SEUSSICAL in February 2023

C.O.S Kids- our non profit partner for SCROOGE! THE MUSICAL in December 2022

HopeWay - our non-profit partner for A HOUSE WITHOUT A HOME in August 2022

Healing Vine Harbor - our non-profit partner for SISTER ACT in July 2022

“Pay-What-You-Can” (PWYC) Shows at Matthews Playhouse

In the spirit of togetherness and as part of our mission to make the arts more accessible to members of our community, Matthews Playhouse is proud to offer a “Pay-What-You-Can” (PWYC) performance for most of our mainstage productions. Rather than pay the full price for reserved tickets, audience members make a donation (we suggest $10 and up, but any amount will be accepted) which we share with our non-profit partner. Donations are collected at the door (cash or credit)- there is no reserved seating. This program extends the availability of the arts to those on a limited budget and benefits a local non-profit organization.

The PWYC performance of CLUE will be Wednesday, April 19th at 7:30 p.m. A portion of proceeds collected will benefit The Levine Senior Center, our non-profit partner for the production.

Because there is no reserved seating, we recommend audience members arrive at least a half hour prior to the start of the performance. Seating is first-come-first serve. If you like quality live entertainment, saving money AND supporting a good cause like The Levine Senior Center, please help us spread the word about our PWYC Performance on April 19th!

Get ready to laugh until you cry with CLUE, April 14th-23rd at Matthews Playhouse of the Performing Arts! This farce-meets-murder-mystery will have you on the edge of your seat. Grab your tickets now to the funniest show of the season - recommended for ages 13 and up >> www.matthewsplayhouse.com/clue.
