The Paige Johnston Thomas Giving Tree Announces New Scholarship Programs for Young Artists in North Carolina

Paige Johnston Thomas believed that passionate, young artists are the future of our community; now the foundation formed in her honor is ready to carry on her legacy. We are formally committing $10,000+ in scholarships to North Carolina youth.

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, June 22, 2020 -- Today, The Paige Johnston Thomas Giving Tree, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for young artists, announces the launch of two scholarships to be awarded in September: The Blue Jay Scholarship and The Phoenix Scholarship. The Paige Johnston Thomas Giving Tree recognizes that young people face many obstacles when navigating a career in the arts. The scholarships were created to help alleviate some of these challenges and enrich not only the lives of the recipients, but also the community. Applications for both scholarships are available, now through August 10, 2020, on the organization’s website: www.paigesgivingtree.org

The scholarship may be used for innovative and special projects, academics, research, and/or performances. The young artist chosen should embody the many talents and traits that Paige contributed to the arts community. This scholarship is available to high school juniors through college sophomores. The recipient must be a North Carolina resident. Applications are due August 10, 2020, and the winner will be announced mid-September, 2020.
