Broadway Performance Master Class

Matthews Playhouse is excited to announce a Master Class for students age 16 and up for Musical Theatre students looking to prepare for a career in live performances.
A Master Class with Broadway professionals, the class will include:
- Individual in-person instruction
- Small class size (class maximum: 6)
- College audition preparation
- Industry Question and Answer
- Parent Question and Answer
- How to self-tape for Auditions
- Work with Broadway Professionals
- Mask and Social Distance safe
- Final Student Concert on Sunday October 25
This class will prepare you for your college audition, as well as any upcoming musical theatre audition. Broadway professionals will share their experience and their talent with young performers. The final day will include a concert by the students performed virtually and/or outside. Each student will leave after this experience with bag full of audition choices and be prepared for any audition or performance that comes up.
Will is here straight off of the national tour of the Broadway Show, Mean Girls.
Will grew up in Charlotte and while growing up performed many shows at Matthews Playhouse. Currently, Will is a New York based actor with New York/Tours: Bat Out Of Hell (New York City Center, Toronto, Original North American Company), Mean Girls (1st National Tour), Kragtar: An American Monster Musical (Off- Broadway, Original Cast). Regional: The Old Globe (October Sky), Barrington Stage (West Side Story, BTCA nomination), 5th Avenue (West Side Story), PCLO, Music Theatre Wichita, Adirondack Theatre Festival, Triad Stage. Will is also a theatre and film director hoping to bring his work to North Carolina. His last film SCHMIK premiered at the Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles as a part of HollyShorts Film Festival. Danielle is a Canadian living in New York City. She is currently starring as Cady Heron in ‘Mean Girls The Musical’ (1st National Tour) after performing as Cady/Janis Standby on Broadway. You may recognize her as the winner of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s search for Dorothy called ‘Over The Rainbow.’ Some previous credits include Marian Paroo (Stratford Festival), Dorothy (Wizard of Oz, First National Tour), Cinderella (Cinderella), Lorene (Tim Rice’s From Here To Eternity), Belle (Beauty and The Beast), Narrator (Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) and Bailey Butterfly (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s The Moblees).
