Our Front of House Volunteers are the first people our patrons see when thet come to Matthews Playhouse. and they set the standard for our patrons' experience with us.
-Ushers should be at least 16 years of age.
-Ushers should dress appropriately in business casual attire.
-Ushers typically arrive 45 minutes to an hour prior to all performances. Please note that other children should not be with you as they cannot be left unsupervised in the theater.
-Ushers report to the box office and meet the head usher for that day's performance. He/she will will review additional duties and responsibilities with you.
-Will-Call volunteers hand out our pre-purchased tickets to patrons. Ushers direct audience members to their seats, hand out programs and assist with any audience concerns during the performance.
-Concessions volunteers help with concessions sold during intermissions of Mainstage performances (when applicable) as well as Matthews Playhouse merchandise that is sold before and after shows, and at intermission.
